Litquake Festival Poster 2026

For this year’s Litquake poster I wanted to create an environment inspired by the hard workers behind every library desk and local book shop. I truly believe they set the tone for making any literary institution feel inclusive and welcoming to people of all ages, genders, races, ethnicities, and religious beliefs. The little bookworms are also meant to be an extension of these literary laborers by assisting them in keeping the shelves tidy, hosting a panel, or an event that reflects a few of the ones lead by Litquake. Although, one little bookworm is enjoying one of my favorite San Francisco treats (an It’s-It).

Stern Grove Festival 2026

Stern Grove Festival is one of the few free music festivals in the United States and I was reached out to illustrate a music poster for headlining band, Bomba Estéreo (Colombia) and their opening act, La Misa Negra (SF).

This poster was inspired by one of my favorite tracks by Bomba Estéreo, “Somos Dos” as well as the local fauna that can be seen at Stern Grove. In addition to illustrating the poster I was requested to also design a line of kids merchandise that was sold throughout the run of the festival.

C.A.S.A. Logo & Logotype

In Spring 2026 the founder of C.A.S.A. (Central American Sound Archive) inquired about creating a logo design for their project’s launch. The ask was to create an image that speaks to the action of listening and sharing music that has existed within the Central American Isthmus throughout the decades. There was also a request to create a logotype with a symbol that unified all of the nations in Central America such as Belize, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panamá, and Costa Rica. I decided to draw a jade serpent inspired by Mesoamerican statues and create their “scales” out of miniature vinyl. As someone from the diaspora this project spoke towards my love of collecting physical media and passion for learning about Central American history and social movements through art and music.

826 Valencia Book Cover

This 826 Valencia book cover was such a delight to illustrate because the authors from Mission Center’s After-School Tutoring program wrote a wide array of stories featuring ghosts, wizards, bears riding BART, and anthropomorphic tacos. I was so thrilled to have worked on this assignment during Spring of 2026. To me, it was important to capture the essence of these stories while imagining all of these characters commuting together against a partially cloudy sky and a neighborhood inspired by the Excelsior District.

Center for Cultural Power X APEN

I was invited by Center for Cultural Power to create a poster illustration for their environmental justice art series known as Rooted In Joy. Center for Cultural Power connected artists to individual environmental justice organizations across the United States to assist them in create a visual narrative that illustrated each organization’s mission.

I was selected by APEN (Asian Pacific Environmental Network) to create their custom illustration. While learning about APEN’s work, I noticed how many members are proud Asian migrant elders with deep roots in the Bay, carrying knowledge of extractive economies and their impacts on immigrant communities. Then in Southern California, young people are finding their voices and organizing to protect their families from pollution while learning how to be in better relationship to the Earth.

Golosa Pride Poster 2025

I was hit up by co-founders of Chicago’s brand new latinx queer dance party, DJ Mala Vida and Cozmiika to create branding and the first pride flier for Golosa. This is a day-time event that has been creating an inviting and healing space for queer, trans, and gender non-conforming folks and to come together on the dance floor.

Laneha House Magazine Covers

Every other issue my husband and I alternate with creating the cover for our Laneha House comics. (Which is my one of the funnest jobs to do when you run your own small press)

The concept behind each cover is inspired by the my feelings toward each season, and also what our actual living situations look like during the time we are about to release a new Laneha House issue.

Sunday Streets in San Francisco 2022

A commission from Livable City, who organizes the annual Sunday Streets gatherings throughout various neighborhoods in San Francisco. I was asked to create an illustration that could also be adapted into promotional art in the form of brochures, posters, and Muni ads. The concept of behind the art was influenced by all the different houses you see in different locations like the Mission, Excelsior, Bayview, and Sunset districts.

Hoover Elementary Poetry Postcards (2021)

These illustrations were commissioned by Chapter 510, a literary youth arts organization based in Oakland, CA. I was asked to read selected poems by students from Hoover Elementary School and to illustrate these images. Chapter 510 printed postcards of the art to encourage folks to mail the art and the writing to loved ones while we were continuing to navigate through the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic.
